Hilton Hotels Corporation announced today that Alexander Mirza has been named to the newly-created position of senior v . p . of corporate development. Benefiting his significant hospitality industry expertise in both the corporate and consulting environments, he will be working company-wide on new product development and partnerships, including food and beverage offerings, health clubs and spas, amongst others. Mirza will be based at the Hilton Hotels Corporation World Headquarters in Beverly Hills and reports straight to Matthew J. Hart, president and chief operating officer.

Before joining Hilton, Mirza was a senior executive in the travel and transportation practice at Accenture. Prior to Accenture, Mirza was head of strategic planning at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, where he was accountable for brand positioning, development planning and business innovation. Mirza started his career at First Financial, Inc. and opened the first U.S. office servicing corporate high net-worth clients. His consulting background includes several years of project management knowledge about Deloitte/Braxton Associates within the parts of value-based management, growth strategy and globalization.
Mirza was subsequently a senior principal at Strategos, an innovation consultancy where he worked with Cachet in the luxury hospitality, travel, consumer and asset management industries inside the parts of customer strategy, cool product development and service innovation. Mirza holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, with a give attention to brand marketing and corporate strategy. Also, he holds an M.A. in Economics and a B.A. Honors from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada.
